Wine Play is five scenes set in the world of wine: a vineyard, a crushpad, a wine cellar, a brownstone, an apartment, each opening up the strange, tender things people confess with a glass in hand. Funny, messy, sensual, occasionally feral.
Each scene is paired with its own wine, poured for the audience as the scene begins, so the glass in your hand and the play in front of you are tasted together.
Playwright and sommelier Dani Nelson created this experience to converge her two crafts, her two loves.
